Can you arrange to have a puppy let out every four hours?

Alaskan Klee Kai are intelligent, agile, high energy dogs who can also be a digger, runner, jumper, and climber. Do you have a secure area for your dog? Please describe.

If you don’t have a secure area for your dog, are you prepared to keep your Alaskan Klee Kai on a leash when needed to go potty, play and exercise?

Would you and your family be willing to take your puppy to obedience or training classes?
(in addition to training your dog, it’s a good way to spend quality time with your pet, spouse, children and also socialize your pet with people and other dogs.)

Socialization is crucial to this breed. They are a true northern breed and may have a tendency to be reserved with strangers. How do you intend to social your AKK?

Will you agree to spay/neuter your AKK if it was deemed not to be showing or breed quality?

As an Alaskan Klee Kai caretaker, handler, (in the show ring) breeder, and member of several dog clubs and
organizations, I am doing my part to maintain the quality of my puppies and the breed as a whole. Alaskan Klee Kai is a relatively new and rare breed which is still being monitored. I would require that you report to me any genetic defects, health problems or temperament problems that may surface during the life of your dog. In turn, I would notify the person(s) recording these issues. I like to hear about the puppies that I’ve placed as they mature and grow older. Perhaps even relay information with others which could include sharing photos, stories, or updates of your dogs activities. This way we can work towards the betterment of the breed. Would you help in this area?

Some exceptions may be made for strictly pet quality placements. This Exam and the tests it includes must be performed by a certified vetrinarian only.

Part of my contract states that you will return your Alaskan Klee Kai to me, if, for any reason, you are no longer able to provide him/her with the care or needs he/she deserves.
